Bio (July 2020):

Sarah Moulder is the Director of Bands at Central Middle School and Arroyo Upper Elementary School in San Carlos, California. Prior to her experience in San Carlos, Ms. Moulder has spent the last decade striving to provide quality musical experiences to students in Title I Schools in Michigan, Idaho, and California. Originally from Michigan, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Northern Michigan University, and a Master’s Degree in Wind Band Conducting from the American Band College. She has presented at the California All State Music Education Conference, The Midwest Clinic, and many other professional development gatherings. An active freelance musician, Ms. Moulder enjoys playing regularly throughout California’s culturally rich Bay Area in pit orchestras, big bands, and the San Francisco Wind Symphony (she looks forward to doing that again someday!). Ms. Moulder created a band and orchestra program from the ground up in East Palo Alto, one of the most economically disadvantaged communities in the state of California. While her program started with merely one band ensemble at one school, it has grown to include three separate leveled bands and two orchestras at two schools. Ms. Moulder provides free and equal access to all students who wish to participate.
